Thanks Nello.

My intentions is to have the xserve headless mode, which is giving me problem is that adding "console = ttyPZ0, 57600," to boot line linux kernel as well not start fedora, to get into rescue mode and try to regain yaboot using the kernel boot line that has no "console = ttyPZ0, 57600" is not restored.

a friend told me that you have to configure OpenFirmware to make the installation in serial from the beginning, but have not found information on how to set the OpenFirmware

Latest yaboot releases are able to recognize raid partitions, did you
asked support to you distro ml ?

I can't understand if yaboot only failed because wrong console line.
Anyway this is the correct line for an Xserve:

append="console=ttyPZ0,57600"

cheers,
