Yeah, that's fair. I probably should have kept those changes separate
from the rest of the series (which I was very eager to merge ASAP as
it's been a source of endless heartache for nearly two years now). As
noted on the other patch, we can look at reverting these (and getting
2.1 out the door) when you're back.
