Hi Jeremy,
WARNING! Not every patch in the pull request has a r-b or a-b tag, most
have though. More on that below.
This pull requests has 3 main topics:
- The re-design that has been floating around for some time now.
One can evaluate the state of the re-design on the freedesktop.org
instance:
http://patchwork.freedesktop.org/
http://patchwork.freedesktop.org/project/intel-gfx/list/
- Selenium unit testing. That allows us to have full client-isde
in-browser unit tests. My test setup is done with Chrome and the
Chromedriver[1]
- Send mails that we can't parse to settings.ADMINS for debugging
purposes
Now, there are a few patches in the re-design series patches that don't
have a a-b or r-b tag. I believe this pull request is not unreasonable
and addresses the main points Wolfram Sang and you had.
There's the freedesktop instance to forge your own idea if this work is
in an acceptable state or not.
A couple of patches in the selenium series don't have a r-b tag either.
With tests, it's a bit of an easier sell. They pass or not. And they do
pass, both locally and on a headless (ie. without the distro Xorg server
runnig but using Xvfb) CI server.
HTH,
