This looks great! Thank you for doing this.

On a side note just for your FYI:
There is a planned slight modification to the fan driver that I will be
sending up for review in upstream. We will be pulling its access to
the fn2 registers and moving that check into GPIO. We also will
hopefully be adding a way for a new GPIO driver to grab fan data
from the fan driver.
