Flash monitoring

There are some things I'd like to do in the flash monitoring area, such 
as detecting when the read-write filesystem is running out of space, 
detecting when a volume failed to be mounted during boot, and perhaps 
having automatic recovery such as allocating more space to the volume or 
extending into a new one, attempting to recover a corrupted one, etc.

Do people think it'd be useful? Should they be opt-in options? Available 
separately, like 'out of space package', 'flash recovery package'?
And would it make more sense to have a new repo with these options or 
have them be part of the bmc code update one (phosphor-bmc-code-mgmt)?
