Hello,
I successfully built a kernel zImage & glibc (pass 2) for ppc64 and I am on to my next problem. i.e. using yaboot to install ppc64 linux into a p630-6E4.
My p630-6E4 was shipped installed with a target AIX 5.1 operating system and it contains no development environment. As a result, (1) I cannot compile the yaboot source tarball and (2) downloading the binary is no help, because this binary is not AIX compatible. How do I proceed from here on?
The zImage & glibc were compiled on an i686 with Redhat 8.0. This machine is connected to my p630 via a LAN, which is why I am considering a net boot.
Somebody please give me an answer. In addition, if it is not necessary for me to use yaboot and other alternatives exist, please let me know.
Thanks
Sri
