Hello,

I successfully performed a complete debian installation on a p630-6E4 using kernel vers. 2.5.70 (Andrew Morton's patch mm8). Ambitious, I upgraded to 2.5.74 (Andrew Morton's patch mm2). Everything worked except the X-window system.

I executed the command "lspci" to get info for X-configuration and received the following error:

# lspci
pcilib: Cannot open /proc/bus/pci/61/01.1
lspci: Unable to read 64 bytes of configuration space.

Curious, I typed "ls" for both kernel versions in the directory "/proc/bus/pci". Here was the output:

(2.5.74-mm2)
# ls
0000:00 0000:02 0000:41 0001:01 0001:61
0000:01 0000:21 0001:00 0001:21 devices

(2.5.70-mm8)
# ls
00 01 02 100 101 121
161 21 41 devices

Can somebody tell me what's involved? Thanks in advance.

Sri
