Michael,
sending the info: kernel: 4.14.0-49.10.1.el7a.ppc64le
The config file has
CONFIG_HAVE_FUNCTION_GRAPH_TRACER=y
but it does not appear in the list of available tracers
Regards

As far as I can see, it is:
[I] home:stable(4)(I)> l1
commit bebc6082da0a9f5d47a1ea2edc099bf671058bd4 (HEAD, tag: v4.14)
Author: Linus Torvalds <torvalds at linux-foundation.org>
Date: Sun Nov 12 10:46:13 2017 -0800
Linux 4.14
[N] home:stable(4)(N)> grep FUNCTION_GRAPH arch/powerpc/configs/*
arch/powerpc/configs/powernv_defconfig:CONFIG_FUNCTION_GRAPH_TRACER=y
arch/powerpc/configs/ppc64_defconfig:CONFIG_FUNCTION_GRAPH_TRACER=y
arch/powerpc/configs/pseries_defconfig:CONFIG_FUNCTION_GRAPH_TRACER=y
Can you give us more detail. What exact config are you talking about?
What exact version, it's not entirely clear what you mean by 4.14.0.
cheers
