PC Card not detecting

Hi all,

when i'm trying to connect modem pc card(3Com,3cxm 56k cellular MODEM) , I
could able to send modem string through /dev/ttyC8 , but I'm not getting any
response by saying "OK" from the target.But when I use some other
manufacturers PC card (Billionton, 56 kbps FAX/MODEM), I'm getting response
saying "OK" from the target. what could be the problem ? Thanks in advance.
