where is the request_8xxirq?

hi,all
I am working with linuxppc 2.4.20-pre2 kernel,
and I can not find the request_8xxirq function
in the kenel.
It is strange I can compile it but I can not find it?

Had it really been removed form the kernel as Tom Rini
said befere ?
