Anyone ported Nils Faerber's LCD driver?

Hi gang,

Nils Faerber has written a simple Linux parallel port-based driver for
character based LCD displays, at:
    http://www.home.unix-ag.org/nils/lcd.html

Has anyone ported it to 8xx by any chance?
