hfsplus 1.0.0 source -- anyone able to compile this?

I wanted to make an rpm of the brand new hfsplus utils, but I can't
compile the sources at ftp://penguinppc.org/pub/hfsplus/.  The src tar
seems to be missing a number of header files.  Or is it my environment
that's missing headers?  I sent a note to the author several days ago
but never heard back.
