2.2.13 build OOB?; need for some standardization here?

I realize that there are differences, but at this point it pretty
close; much better than when R4 first came out.

The problem with debian (for me) is that it is different from most
other versions of UNIX I have ever run across. I had it running for a
while on my IIci as a novelty.
