Using plain Netscape or any other browser is indeed an option.

If you want anti-aliased text, you can convert your slides to PostScript or PDF
and use gv for display. If you decide to use an ia32 notebook instead, you can
use Adobe Acroread for PDF files. Acroread has a full-screen option, which is
nice for presentations, but unfortunately Adobe still doesn't believe there are
incarnations of Linux on non-ia32 platforms (I mailed them several times about
this, to no avail).

If you want full-screen on your PowerBook, you can also convert your slides to
GIFs, JPEGs or whatever image format and use xv.
