Thanks all, I was trying to install red-ribbon since it seems targeted for the PS3, but I wasn't able to use wget after booting with petitboot. (I got Geoff's version from his website and then used ctrl-alt f1 to get into the terminal.) I could ping 127.0.0.1, but any exteral address said "bad address". I was able to go on the internet from gameOS though. I will keep playing around this weekend with different methods or to try install different flavors of linux, but please let me know how I can access the internet from the petitboot terminal. The red-ribbon site mentioned Bootos-petitboot. Is this different than Geoff's version? Will update my tinkering results. Thanks again.
