It the disk in use or idle when you see the problem?

So you saw the problem it on both PS3s?
Which ever one has the disk gets the problem?

Thanks for the info, it is certainly helpful.

Could you say if your kernel was built with CONFIG_PM=y?

If you can, it would be interesting to see if a kernel built
with and then without CONFIG_PM=n has the behavior.
