However, by playing with fbset (increase left and right margins, decrease xres
and vxres), you can create a 1024x768 mode with black left and right borders
from the widescreen 1280x768 mode.
Depending on the types of controls your monitor supports, you may be able to
stretch the image to fill the screen...
