I had a bit of a different idea in mind for checking that all built in
adapters were present (based on slot tables or lxvpd). I've replied with
a ptach that does it for bmc platforms from the slot tables (haven't yet
attacked lxvpd).

Thoughts on my approach? It's not as generic as in core pci code, but it
*does* pick up on the BMC not exposing its devices for example.
