how to investigate a syntax error reported in pb-discover.log ?

I have a pending failure tracked by 
https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1174166

where petitboot is detecting a syntax error, I do not know how to 
continue investigation, any suggestion ?
