OK, I've heard the same yesterday from the ovn folks. Sounds like this
is continuing after a recent hardware upgrade too.

So far it does seem time of day related, so possibly conflicting with
load from overnight backups.

Neat, good to know! I'll check out the query log and see if we have
overlap on the 'expensive' queries issued, and add the index if it
looks like that would help.
