Sadly, I don't think I have any patches delegated to myself on this
patchwork instance, so I don't think I can.

I was hoping for this to eventually hit kernel.org, but perhaps I can
live with the workaround :)

If it breaks anything, then we should probably revert it and get a
better version tested with the people who use it.
