Patchwork registration problem

Hi,
I tried to register an account at Patchwork few days back. I filled out
the form but I never received any confirmation mail. I checked my spam
folder, trash etc. The mail is not to be found anywhere. I tried to
register again and now I am informed that the mail id and the user name
are already in use.
When I try to login I am told that the account is 'inactive'. I am not
able un-register either. Is there any way out of this stale-mate?
