patchwork virtual hosting

I notice that patchwork has the concept of Sites, which gives me
hope that it might be possible to virtually host multiple URLs (with
distinct project sets) from a single patchwork instance. Yet, during
first tests, I could not make it do that. Is that the intended use
of sites? How does one make it work?
