PatchWork feature request, and a question

The RFE, hopefully simple:

On the todo list screen, be able to select (checkbox) several patches, 
then click a button to download them as a single mbox.  I don't need to 
create a bundle, that's too cumbersome when the mbox collection changes 
at every invocation.

The question:

What exactly does archiving mean?  I see references to archived patches, 
but don't know how to make use of this.
