Wish I could help, Simics is all we use internally for Hostboot work. What
is the "power9 functional simulator" you are referring to?

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [OpenPower-Firmware] Firmware Sim help
Sent by: "OpenPower-Firmware" <openpower-firmware-bounces

Greetings. As I've mailed before, I'm working on coreboot for the power9
talos line of systems. As far as I can see, there are three major options
for p9 simulation; simics, the power9 functional simulator, and the qemu
powernv stuff being worked on by Cedric LeGoater. The lattermost option
doesn't really model the hardware down to that level (hostboot's level)
and is primarily there to do skiboot testing. Not sure about the
functional simulator, and simics seems to be not generally available for
Average Joe programmer.
Was hoping someone here could provide information on the subject or
perhaps point me in some other direction, or otherwise offer guidance on
the subject.
Regards,
Marty
