Team,

Thanks to OCP Foundation for hosting a first ever meetup for Open Source Firmware Developers at upcoming OCP global summit @ https://www.opencompute.org/summit/global-summit. This will be a 2-day event and the tentative schedule can be found at https://2019ocpglobalsummit.sched.com/venue/LL20+C.

The purpose of this meetup is to encourage collaboration among firmware engineers working in various OCP workgroups like Hardware Management (OpenBMC, OpenRMC), Open System Firmware (Coreboot, LinuxBoot, UEFI/EDKII), Security (Cerberus, PFR solutions) etc. Each of these community projects are encouraged to make use of this meetup to accelerate progress in respective area. Few (but not limited) things that could be accomplished with this meetup are: to review and revise requirements/specifications/roadmaps, hack a feature and upstream code, resolve any complex pending issues etc.

Due to diversity of firmware teams and/or projects, it would be great to plan the topic streams of common interest beforehand to maximize the benefit of this face to face meetup opportunity. Please find a shared doc to list common topics of interest @ https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cKAYFP2fEhgBoEBjGrCrOAq6-01nyX53M9rrLaJxlk4/edit?usp=sharing

Please let me know for more info and/or any suggestions.

Thanks,
Sai.
