Vortex AU8820 crashes in PPC64

When loading the ALSA module snd-au8820, I get the oops below.

Kernel used is 2.6.15 (2.6.15-1-powerpc64 from debian).

Command used is "modprobe snd-au8820" which results in the oops
and a Segmentation Fault for modprobe.
