I believe it is. It is the newest PMac that Apple sells.

It is quite elusive. It sometimes happens when rebooting from Mac to
Linux, or when cold-booting. I have tried to find a pattern, but I
can't. The only "solid" thing is that it does not happen at all with
2.6.14-rc1 or 2.6.13.

Another datapoint: with Ubuntu kernel linux-image-2.6.12-7-powerpc64-smp
the machine real time clock is fine, with the kernel
linux-image-2.6.12-8-powerpc64-smp it goes into the future (Apr 2037)!
