Can't read vDSO via /proc/*/mem

With 2.6.15-rc1 the vDSO pages can no longer be read via /proc/*/mem:

$ dd if=/proc/self/mem bs=1 skip=$((0x00100000)) count=52
dd: reading `/proc/self/mem': Input/output error
0+0 records in
0+0 records out
0 bytes (0 B) copied, 0.000334 seconds, 0.0 kB/s
