G5 + 2.6.12 Powers off Underload

[Omkhar Arasaratnam]

We have some users who are complaining that a G5 running 2.6.12 will
power off or freeze underload. They define load as "when the fan comes
on". They claim it happens on multiple machines, Fedora and Gentoo.

Thoughts?
