Accessing NVRAM on the Maple board

Hi,

I need to be able to access NVRAM from Linux on the Maple PPC Evaluation
board. 

There is what appears to be a device driver that provides this capability in
arch/ppc64/kernel, in a file called "nvram.c".

Does anyone know where I can obtain some documentation on nvram.c?
