2.6.10.-rc1 on ppc64 - returning from prom_init hang

Anyone have any thoughts on this?  I have xmon=on, but it stops before it gets 
there...  for this iteration, added console=hvsi1, did not change anything.

This libata-dev-2.6 on power5 system.
