[Linuxppc-users] Redhat 8 on Power9 certification - SAP HANA

Redhat 8 is available for POWER9, it is even listed at the Redhat 8
webpage:  https://www.redhat.com/en/enterprise-linux-8/details
It is available for download, as you can see from the attached picture.
Redhat 7 is also available.

What is not available yet is the SAP certification for Redhat 8 - as far as
my search went, Redhat 8 is not certified for HANA, in any platform (not an
IBM Power issue, it is a general certification statement). As Redhat and
SAP work together, it is expected that it becomes certified in the future.

In the meantime, you can deploy HANA with Redhat 7 on Power. See the

hmm, you should be able get "Red Hat Enterprise Linux for Power LE
(POWER9)", which is RHEL-7
