Hello, Alessandro!

Here comes more debugging output:

Please note that I have now _two_ almost identical systems up and running with the
latest kernel. One machine (ecam) with an pcf8563 RTC on I2C and another one (fox_1)
with an DS1337. Both RTCs work, but the kernel doesn't get the time right.
I have now the SENSORS_*=n as you said and the (new) RTC configured.
The kernel configuration (attached) is identical for both machines. Can you please
check that again?!
Which CONFIG do I have to enable that I get /dev/rtc and/or /dev/rtc0 devices?
Note that I don't get any /dev/rtc* entry right now despite RTC_INTF_DRV=Y

Here are the outputs of the two hosts:

DS1337 is also working.

=====================================================

Alessandro, if you cannot help me here right now, can you please
give me some pointers to documentation and to the desired calling
tree of the kernel's new RTC stuff to get me started with
debugging?

My next step is to try it all modular... hence that won't be
a solution for me. (I don't wan't modules at all.)

Thank you a lot,
best regards,
