what is difference between cpm_uart_cpm1.c and cpm_uart_cpm2.c

I am new about kernel 2.6.18.I just want to know
what's difference bwtween cpm_uart_cpm1.c and
cpm_uart_cpm2.c?and how to initialize cmp module?
