microcode patch in MPC823

hello,
Can anybody give a clear idea of the microcode patch in MPC823.
I want to use the spi driver of mpc823 - which requires the patch.
There is some relocation address for spi buffer pointer...i suppose.
Please refer - if any documentation is available regarding that.
