which version of powerpc to compile for

Hello Everybody..
I want to know that for crosscompiling which version
of powerpc will i be using...
is it
powerpc-eabi
powerpc-elf
powerpc-linux...
i am tyring to port ppckernel to FADS board..
and i want to compile the iamge in an elf format..
please do let me know..
