PTHREADS for Linux

Hello,

we are planning to use the Linux POSIX Thread library
(glibc-2.1.3/linuxthreads/...) on top of the 2.4.3 kernel.

Has anybody some experiences (bugs, deadlocks in the lib, ...) with this
?

Is there an alternative available (kernel or user space implementation)
?
