Device driver FAQ/Information

Does anyone know any links to info on developing device drivers for embedded
PPC.  I'm having a little trouble understanding the memory managment inside
of the drivers, specifically with the CPM.  I know most drivers used the
Dual port ram to send the data but would it work just as easily with
external ram.  Would there be any other considerations.  The macros which I
am confused with are the __va  __pa etc...  Can I find an explaination of
this anywhere....  Thanks
