Sound on iBook

I have installed Yellow Dog Linux 3.0 on a Mac iBook, and am
having trouble with sound. If I play an audio CD with 'xine',
the sound is fine. But if I play a video clip (MPEG recorded
from DVB-T), there is no sound. In both cases, the audio
plugin is 'oss'. I know the sound is there because the file
plays OK on another machine (PC with 'xine', again.)

I'm sorry if this is not the right place to whine. I already
posted on mailing lists for xine and Yellow Dog.
