question on "__shl2i"

Hi, all,
I am now currently linking the linux kernel ppc.
There is a undefined problem,which follows:

I have search through all the source tree, but I can't find the definition ,
even
the occurence of the '__shl2i' !!!!!!!
where does tsuch '__shl2i' come from?
any suggestion is appreciated!!!!
