Cannot run kernel 2.2.x on IBM 6015 (Nobis)

Hello,

I try to install the new version of linuxppc on my ppc. I have running
kernel 2.0.33 well, but if I try to use a version of 2.2.x the system hang
on booting the kernel. Last output on console is

"Now booting the kernel"

My ppc has a 601 CPU , 16 MB RAM and is PREP-kompatible.

Can anybody help ?
