OpenFirmware I/O access

Hi,
 I am an intern in Apple.

 Does anybody knows how to access devices in Open Firmware ?

 I mean how to use,play,open, read,write,close or access the buffer of these
devices :

 Harddisk/cdrom, audio, ethernet, and  display

 do help
