Someone has installed a bootable Perp boot partition on a SCSI machine
I must send back to motorola. Now that I have a working debian linux
installed, I would like to put the image on teh IDE disk instaed of
booting it using NBO.
Here is what I already have done :
1) create a 0x41 bootable partition on the IDE DISK
2) copied zImage in this partition using dd
It did not work. I the have remove the first 512 byte of netboot
zImage and replaced it by 512 byte of IDE1 master boot block to
get a correct partitions info but it did not change anything.
I'm wondering if there is any trick??? One I though of is the
LBA geometry versus physical geometry used so far. Any opinion?
Heads: 9 Sectors per Track: 63 Cylinders: 14848
I have a C/H/S of 14848/9/63. The BIOS LBA setting for this disk
is probably different...
