[Lguest] Bad Page Table Entry

Im trying to created a suitable initrd (ref:
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/linux/library/l-initrd/index.html)

and I pass it in as --initrd with root=/dev/ram0
it mounts the ramdisk but just hangs. and then gets killed any ideas?

relevant parts of dmesg:
