it's a good idea, it appears, to NOT gdb the lguest and then exit gdb ... I think the lguest was in T state, not sure, but as soon as I tried to talk to it again over the network, my machine locked up nice and tight :-) so experiment with gdb and lguest program, but be careful. ron
