This was the place that caused crash for me.

I would apply following change in my patch before sending pull request
to Arnd.

-       *map = kzalloc(sizeof(*map) * count, GFP_KERNEL);
+       *map = kzalloc(sizeof(**map) * count, GFP_KERNEL);
