You could, however the GPL2 would prevail over the BSD license, hence
making your program / library GPL2 (perhaps GPL2 only).

In the kernel, you can assume version 2 of the GPL unless its marked
specifically to allow GPL2 or later, LGPL, or BSD (when considering
kernel innards).

Most will be GPL v2 (only) or GPL v2 (or later), depending on the
author.
