A brief announcement for everyone:

Yesterday, I imported support for the Playstation 3 into the FreeBSD 
powerpc64 port. This port is still quite raw (only netbooting is 
supported, no access to the SPUs, etc.), but hardware support should be 
more fleshed out by the time FreeBSD 9.0 is released.

Thanks to Geoff Levand for fruitful discussions on the mechanics of the 
LV1 interface that got me sanely through the initial bootstrapping of 
the port.
