Reporting this for a friend of mine -

When rebooting from Linux back to GameOS, the user is left with a
black screen, requiring a further restart to return to normal behaviour.

While the screen is black, the console can still be turned off using
the bluray remote.

Firmware 3.0, model CECHL02, Ubuntu server for PS3 (9.04, kernel
2.6.28-6-powerpc64-smp), kboot, ps3-flash-util-2.0.2.
